ADVICE & INFORMATION

Providing advice and information is one of Marylebone Bangladesh Society’s longest-running projects. Not only does knowledge and advice contribute to people’s well-being by enhancing their ability to practise choice and power, but it is also critical in avoiding or delaying the need for treatment and assistance until it is too late. Advice and information is provided on a range of areas, such as: welfare benefits, debts, housing (including repairs) & homelessness, education etc. As part of our services we provide assistance with filling in forms (both on-line and printed) and also provide advocacy service for those who have language as a possible barrier. We provide advice and information in a number of languages including: Bengali, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu.
